Although we are looking for someone that is capable of winning work you will be handed a piece of work that has a solid initial duration and potential to extend.
About the role:
In this role your main responsibility will be to provide environmental consulting services to clients. The initial project you step into will be focussed on approvals of resource projects. You will have a utilisation target, but this role is much more than that. In this role you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee and mentor a team of environmental consultants and scientists, fostering professional development, technical excellence, and a collaborative working culture.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor emerging environmental policy, legislation, and industry trends to ensure practices and client advice remain current and competitive.
- Support business development activities including proposal writing, client engagement, and strategic growth planning.
Skills & experience required:
- Significant experience within environmental compliance / management roles
- Experience within consultancy environment (strong preferred)
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of Queensland and/or NSW environmental legislation and practical experience applying it on projects
- Strong track record in developing environmental documentation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
