Join a high-performing engineering team working across infrastructure upgrades and compliance-driven project scopes. We’re currently seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers for long-term contract roles with a strong focus on technical standards, project input, and engineering assurance.
These roles are suited to proactive engineers who enjoy being embedded within project teams, supporting execution through early-phase input, scope development, and alignment with internal processes and safety standards.
The Opportunity:
- Leading Owners side
- Site-based, Monday–Friday with WFH flexibility
- FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO to the Mackay Coal Fields
- Long-term, ongoing contract roles with stability
- Focus on supporting sustaining capital works, shutdowns, and asset upgrades
- Involvement across project reviews, engineering compliance, and contractor oversight
- No RPEQ required – practical site experience valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Review scopes, specifications, and contractor deliverables for engineering compliance
- Support early-phase project development and risk assessments
- Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure safe, efficient outcomes
- Provide input on mechanical standards, installations, and quality expectations
- Liaise with third-party contractors and assist in technical sign-off processes
- Maintain alignment with internal governance, assurance frameworks, and safety protocols
About You:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years in mining infrastructure experience
- Solid knowledge of sustaining capital projects and engineering reviews
- Confident working with multidisciplinary teams and managing priorities
- Familiarity with asset systems (e.g. SAP), assurance processes, and project workflows
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
