Payroll Admin

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a leading mining operation to secure an experienced Payroll Administrator for their site-based team. This role is offered on a DIDO basis or with camp accommodation provided, working a 5/2 roster.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll support to a busy site workforce. You’ll ensure timesheets are correct, maintain compliance, and provide high-quality administrative assistance to leaders and employees across site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify timesheets, rosters, allowances and overtime submissions
  • Maintain accurate employee data within the payroll system
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, variance checks and regular reporting
  • Support payroll cycles including adjustments, terminations and new starter setup
  • Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and supervisors
  • Educate leaders on correct timesheet approvals and payroll processes
  • Liaise with HR around onboarding, employee changes, leave and entitlements

About You

  • Previous payroll administration experience, ideally within mining/resources or heavy industry
  • Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
  • Strong Excel skills and general proficiency with MS Office
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
