Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a global mining organisation to source an experienced Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) Specialist for an immediate start. This is a 6-month temporary assignment, ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong budgeting, forecasting and operational cost control experience within a mining or heavy industry environment.
Based in Brisbane, this role will also require monthly travel to a Queensland mine site, providing exposure to site-based operations and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles across operational cost centres
- Provide detailed cost analysis and variance reporting to support decision-making
- Partner with site and corporate stakeholders to drive cost control initiatives
- Support month-end and forecast updates within SAP
- Deliver clear financial insights to operational and senior leadership teams
About You:
- Proven experience in FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, ideally within mining or resources
- Strong operational cost control and analysis capability
- Hands-on experience using SAP
- Comfortable working with both corporate and site-based stakeholders
- Immediately available and able to commit to a 6-month temporary role
- Willing and able to travel to site on a monthly basis
