Overview:
This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital projects within a large operating asset.
You will manage projects from concept through to commissioning and operational handover, with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, risk and safety. This is a hands-on execution role, suited to someone who enjoys driving outcomes in a live operational environment rather than study-only work.
The role requires strong contractor management, disciplined project governance, and the ability to maintain momentum across multiple work fronts while operating safely within an established site framework.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver capital projects end-to-end, from concept and approval through to commissioning and operational handover
- Manage scope, cost, schedule, risk and safety in line with governance frameworks
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
- Lead contractor tendering, award and performance management
- Engage stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Maintain project reporting, risk management and compliance requirements
- Proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track and outcomes practical
About You:
- 10+ years’ experience in project engineering or project management
- Background in mining, processing, energy or heavy industrial environments
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Proven delivery of multidisciplinary capital projects end-to-end
- Strong understanding of capital governance and site execution
- Confident managing contractors, budgets, schedules and risk
- Practical, delivery-focused approach with a strong safety focus
