Project Engineer – 12 Month Contract

An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Engineer to join a growing metals development project currently progressing through the feasibility phase ahead of Final Investment Decision.
This is a 12-month casual or fixed-term contract supporting a multidisciplinary project across mining, processing and infrastructure workstreams.
The Role
You will support the Project Manager across a broad range of activities including:
- Assisting with feasibility study deliverables
- Supporting mining and process plant workstreams
- Coordination of consultants and technical inputs
- Cost tracking and project reporting
- Schedule management (MS Project preferred)
- Supporting documentation, approvals and stakeholder reporting
This role offers exposure across mine, process plant, water infrastructure and tailings systems, providing excellent development for someone looking to build end-to-end project experience.
About You
We’re seeking a motivated early-career engineer with:
- 2–8 years’ experience in mining, resources or heavy industry
- Mechanical/Mining/Process Engineering qualifications (ideal)
- Exposure to mining operations, processing plants or water systems
- Experience with MS Project or project controls highly regarded
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Desire to work in a fast-moving development environment
- Copper-gold project exposure will be highly regarded.
Work Model
- Hybrid arrangement (work from home plus some Brisbane office attendance required)
- 3 half-days per week in office
- Periodic site travel (organised by the company)
- Reporting to the development Manager
