Electrical Superintendent | Mining Operations
An established, large-scale mining operation is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical infrastructure performance across complex processing and export facilities.
This is a senior leadership role accountable for the safe, efficient and compliant management of electrical systems supporting critical production assets.
The Opportunity
Reporting to senior site leadership, you will oversee electrical infrastructure across processing and associated operations. The role requires strong safety leadership, disciplined maintenance execution and the ability to guide a skilled team toward reliable, cost-effective asset performance.
This is a residential or FIFO position operating on a 9/5 roster, offering long-term stability and genuine career progression within a major operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and embed a proactive safety culture across the electrical function
- Oversee maintenance execution, spares strategy, condition monitoring and life-of-asset planning
- Manage instrumentation, control systems and site communication networks
- Deliver effective maintenance scheduling, asset management and capital works execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and measurable operational outcomes
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental and licensing obligations
- Manage budgets, cost control and financial performance of the electrical function
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing electrical team
About You
You are a senior electrical leader with strong technical capability and a proven record managing infrastructure within mining or heavy industrial environments. You bring commercial awareness, disciplined maintenance practices and the ability to lead teams through complexity.
Essential Requirements:
- Trade or Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Eligible to hold an Electrical Contractor’s Licence
- High Voltage Switching qualification
- 10+ years’ experience in electrical infrastructure management
- Strong knowledge of asset maintenance systems and financial management principles
- Sound understanding of minerals processing systems and asset interdependencies
- Demonstrated leadership across safety, compliance and risk management
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams
