Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a well established Queensland based organisation within the insurance sector to appoint an experienced Financial Systems Specialist.
This is a pivotal role within a high performing Strategy and Finance function, focused on optimising Technology One, strengthening governance, and driving continuous improvement.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will take ownership of the organisation’s core financial systems environment. You will play a key role in system enhancements, upgrades, user acceptance testing, and ongoing optimisation across finance and related business units.
You will also act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing technical guidance and translating complex system and legislative changes into practical business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive finance system improvements and business process enhancements
- Administer and configure TechnologyOne modules including Financials, HR, Payroll, CPM, BPM and Supply Chain
- Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing and system rollouts
- Identify system risks and implement controls to minimise audit exposure
- Develop business cases for system enhancements
- Provide technical advice on accounting, tax and legislative changes
- Deliver system training and develop user documentation
- Manage system access and maintain data integrity
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to influence and embed change
About You
You are a systems focused finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial insight. You are analytical, detail oriented, and confident working across both finance and technology teams.
Essential:
- Experience with Technology One is non negotiable, we are looking for a super-user
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum five years experience in a financial systems or systems accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial governance and audit controls
- Experience in business analysis, systems testing, or database management
- Ability to deliver training and communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
