Mechanical & Electrical Site Engineers
Residential Relocation Role | North West QLD | 8 Hour Days
Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a large industrial operation seeking both a Mechanical Site Engineer and an Electrical Site Engineer to join their on-site engineering team in a residential capacity.
These are long-term site-based roles supported by company-funded relocation assistance and temporary accommodation.
The Role
These positions sit within the site engineering function, supporting sustaining and capital infrastructure works across a brownfield processing environment.
Operating on standard 8-hour workdays, this opportunity offers stability, structured technical exposure and strong work-life balance in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of sustaining and minor capital projects from scoping through to commissioning
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications and contractor packages
- Provide discipline-specific technical support across site infrastructure
- Coordinate contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to improve asset performance
- Assist with shutdown planning and execution activities
- Monitor contractor performance, schedule and cost tracking
- Ensure compliance with site engineering standards and safety systems
Mechanical Background
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Experience supporting fixed plant, rotating equipment and mechanical infrastructure
- Exposure to brownfield mining or heavy industrial environments
Electrical Background
- Electrical Engineering degree
- Experience supporting LV/HV distribution systems, substations, MCCs or switchboards
- Exposure to industrial power and control environments
Core Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience within mining, processing or heavy industry
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication capability
- Construction or commissioning exposure advantageous
- Strong safety focus
