Contracts Advisor

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is currently partnering with a leading international mining organisation to recruit an experienced Contracts Advisor for an initial three-month contract engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong contract formation and sourcing experience to join a collaborative team environment, with potential for contract extension or transition to a permanent role.

About the Role
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Lead, the Contracts Advisor will work alongside a team of four procurement professionals and be responsible for delivering end-to-end contract sourcing and formation activities across a variety of categories.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and technical specialists to define contract scope and procurement requirements
  • Preparing and issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation and managing market approaches
  • Identifying and engaging capable suppliers across multiple categories
  • Managing supplier communications throughout the sourcing process
  • Leading supplier negotiations and commercial discussions
  • Drafting contracts and contract variations using established templates
  • Maintaining procurement records and reporting within the Pronto ERP system and associated reporting tools

About You

  • Proven experience in contract formation and strategic sourcing
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles and experience negotiating commercial terms and conditions
  • Experience working with procurement systems (ideally Pronto ERP)
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier management skills
