Overview
Alchemy Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading resources operator seeking a Junior Electrical Project Engineer to support project delivery at a large open cut operation in the Mackay Coal Fields.
This role would suit someone recently out of a graduate program or with a few years of experience in mining, construction, utilities, or heavy industry looking to build their career in owner’s side project delivery.
Duties in this role:
- Assist in planning and delivering electrical infrastructure projects
- Support design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities
- Coordinate contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders
- Help prepare scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates and project documents
- Assist with risk reviews, safety requirements and project reporting
- Support delivery of sustaining capital and improvement projects
- Contribute to portfolio and team objectives
Experience and Competencies:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Suitable for post graduate + 1–3 years experience
- Experience in mining, construction, utilities, manufacturing or similar environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Understanding of project delivery processes
- Strong documentation and coordination skills
- Motivated to learn and develop in a project environment
In Return, You Can Expect: This is a long term contract with a mining giant working on an ongoing basis with a good hourly rate. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will work a Monday to Friday roster with some flexibility to WFH on Friday (fly out Monday – fly home Thursday), with camp and accommodation provided (no out of pocket expenses).
