Overview

An opportunity has become available for a Specialist Studies professional to support a portfolio of brownfield mining infrastructure and processing improvement projects.

Working within an owner’s side projects environment, you will assist across multiple study and project development activities, supporting planning, integration, engineering coordination, governance, and stakeholder engagement throughout early project phases.

This role will support studies across processing improvement initiatives and civil/environmental infrastructure projects within a large operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Support identification, selection, and definition phase studies across brownfield capital projects
✅ Assist with project planning, integration, and study coordination activities
✅ Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering inputs across SMPEI&C and civil/environmental scopes
✅ Support study schedules, governance processes, risk management, and reporting activities
✅ Assist with development of business cases, study documentation, and project deliverables
✅ Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across operations, technical, engineering, and project teams
✅ Support engineering scope optimisation and project value improvement initiatives
✅ Ensure project decisions, changes, and documentation are captured and managed throughout development phases
✅ Assist with project transition planning into delivery phases

Candidate Requirements

✔ Experience supporting mining studies, project development, or brownfield capital projects
✔ Exposure to processing plants, bulk materials handling, infrastructure, or industrial projects
✔ Experience across FEL / FEED / Identification / Concept Study phases highly regarded
✔ Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination capability
✔ Ability to work across multi-disciplinary project environments
✔ Strong planning, communication, and organisational skills
✔ Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline

Experience across processing improvement, infrastructure upgrades, bulk materials handling, civil works, or environmental project integration will be highly regarded.
