Brisbane Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a respected Government Owned Corporation to recruit a Senior Finance Officer for an initial 4-month temporary assignment based in Brisbane.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role that blends hands-on financial operations with meaningful exposure to a finance uplift and transformation program.
You will play a key role in supporting both day-to-day finance activities and broader change initiatives that improve systems, processes, and ways of working across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end accounts payable processing and payment support
- Daily bank reconciliations and investigation of suspense items
- Corporate card reconciliation and general ledger support
- Assistance during peak workload periods and team absences
- Maintenance of financial records in line with compliance and policy requirements
Finance Uplift and Project Support
- Support adoption of new finance systems, processes, and ways of working
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and process walkthroughs
- Contribute to process mapping, training materials, and change documentation
- Support stakeholder engagement and communication across the business
- Assist with embedding improved financial practices across teams
About You
- Experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and core finance operations
- Exposure to finance system environments, with TechnologyOne experience highly regarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence working across both BAU and project-based work
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting change or transformation initiatives within finance
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business are well regarded but not essential.
