Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a leading global resources organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer for a confidential opportunity based in Brisbane CBD.
This is a rare chance to join a large-scale, complex payroll environment within a globally recognised business operating across mining and resources. You will be part of a high-performing finance and HR support function where accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement are critical.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume, complex environment
- Liaising with HR and site administrators to maintain accurate employee and roster data
- Payroll costing and general ledger reconciliation
- Processing statutory obligations including PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and Child Support deductions
- Managing workers’ compensation payroll processing and reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
- Supporting ongoing payroll system and process improvements
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience across manual and system-based environments (SuccessFactors highly regarded)
- Experience processing payroll for 750+ employees
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation including Superannuation Guarantee and PAYG
- Proven ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong reconciliation and payroll accounting capability
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Confident user of payroll systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
