Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a local government client to support them in recruiting for a Customer Metering Services Officer on a temporary contract based in Beenleigh. This role covers approved leave within the water services team and suits someone who can start immediately and hit the ground running.

About the role

• Pay rate of $44.99 per hour + super
• Temporary contract through to mid-January 2027, immediate start
• Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, office based in Beenleigh
• Provide customer metering and billing support
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
• Investigate metering and billing matters and follow them through to resolution
• Maintain accurate customer, property and metering records
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

Preferred Requirements

• Previous Pathway experience (strongly preferred), particularly customer requests, customer/property records, notes and workflow
• Experience in water billing, metering, rates or utility billing
• Strong customer service and complaint handling skills
• Accurate data entry and records management
• Clear written communication
• Confident with Microsoft 365

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Class C driver licence
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to obtain job-specific immunisations supplied by council
• Australian work rights
• Availability for an in-person interview this week
