Accounts Officer

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with one of Australia’s largest privately owned and independent mining companies, to secure an experienced Accounts Officer for a permanent position.  

Key Responsibilities:
As the Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for the following

Accounts payable:

  •  Processing invoices for payment and addressing supplier inquiries, collaborating with internal stakeholders on purchase orders and outstanding invoices, following up with suppliers for overdue invoices and account statements, ensuring proper filing of all source documentation, reviewing creditor ledgers and balances.

Accounts receivable:

  • Reconciling and receipting funds received, processing intercompany and recharge invoices, reviewing debtor ledgers and balances, and handling coal sales invoices and distributing receipts to multiple entities.

Bank reconciliations:

  • Daily updating of cash position, providing key inputs for cash call forecasts, printing daily bank statements for the Group, and ensuring accurate recording of banking transactions to reconcile with the general ledger.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within a large organisation.
  • Experience with high volume invoice processing.
  • Full or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
