Asset Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Asset Management Strategy Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and governance of the Global Reference Library (GRL), which contains quality baseline equipment maintenance strategies for common use across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing these common strategies in Asset Performance Management (APM) and SAP. This role is crucial for driving data standardisation across the organization. You will serve as the subject matter expert, providing technical advice on equipment maintenance strategy development, gap analysis, data standardization, and continuous improvement.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in heavy industry within maintenance and reliability engineering, with significant involvement in reliability and maintenance management, including processing plants and mobile fleets.
  • Energized by leading change and engaging with diverse stakeholders to challenge the status quo.
  • Proven experience in analyzing historical data to identify recurrent failures and common failure modes.
  • Previous experience with equipment strategy development and implementation, including FMEA/FMECA and RCM processes.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
  • Passionate about the strategy development process, providing technical advice on deploying equipment strategies, and addressing stakeholder issues.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Maintenance Work Management processes.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Industry experience in Mining, Oil and Gas, or Infrastructure.
  • Exposure to mobile or rail equipment (ideal but not required)
  • 1SAP Maintenance Master Data experience.
  • Experience with GE’s APM software tool or any other strategy management tool
  • Experience in building standards and procedures related to maintenance strategies.
  • Good understanding of international standards for Maintenance and Asset Management, including:
    • SAE JA1011 & JA1012
    • ISO 13379-1 & 13379-2
    • ISO 55000, 55001 & 55002

What to Expect in Return:

This is a 6 – 12 month initial contract with a leading mining giant, based in the Brisbane Head Office, on a generous daily rate. Working on an attractive 5:2 roster with some WFH flexibility. A position description is available upon request.
