Overview:
We’re looking for an organised and motivated Business Support Officer to join a supportive local government team. This is a fantastic 6-month opportunity to make a real impact while building your skills in administration, customer service, and public health compliance.
In this role, you’ll support a range of business functions related to public space permits and environmental health, including processing customer requests and licence applications, checking documentation, coordinating council land bookings, and issuing approval documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders across departmental activities.
- Provide administrative and customer support to specialist areas.
- Process permits, licences, and registrations from submission through to approval.
- Check supporting documentation, issue approval documents, and manage bookings of council land.
- Triage and allocate customer requests efficiently.
