About the role
We are currently a seeking CHF & Infrastructure Superintendent. This role is for a permanent position based on site on an established open-cut coal mine located in the southern end of the Bowen Basin.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as a CHF & Infrastructure Superintendent you can anticipate some of your day-to-day responsibilities to include:

  • Provide direction, leadership and technical support to all CHF/Infrastructure personnel & contractors.
  • Demonstrate servicing, repairs and breakdown responses and ensure they are carried out in a timely manner to meet production requirements. 
  • Analyse patterns of breakdowns and their causes, identify and take action on root causes. 
  • Prepare, update and monitor maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor the use of onsite consumables, materials, tools and equipment to minimise waste and damages. 
  • Be an effective leader and team member by demonstrating a commitment to safety and positive working behaviours.
  • Monitor and manage team’s performance against the objectives of the department in line with the plan.

What are we looking for?

  • S1, S2 and S3 Supervisory qualifications.
  • G2 Risk Facilitator Certificate.
  • Tertiary Qualification/Trade in Engineering
  • Previous experience and positive results in a leadership position. 
  • Cert IV in Frontline Management (Desirable)
  • Open Cut Coal Mining Experience
