About the company:
Alchemy Recruitment is seeking an experienced Communications Officer AO4 to join a team delivering major infrastructure projects. This is a full-time contract role based in Nerang, running until January 2026, with the potential for extension.

About the role:
In this role, you’ll report to the Principal Advisor (Governance and Government Relations) and work closely with internal teams, project managers and external stakeholders. You will:

• Draft and contribute to ministerial briefings, correspondence, and media statements
• Respond to media enquiries and support public messaging on key projects
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the region
• Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of communications and project data
• Support continuous improvement in communication processes and internal governance
• Promote compliance with WH&S legislation and departmental policies

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in communications, stakeholder engagement or media relations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Tertiary qualification in communications or a related field (desirable)
• Background in infrastructure, civil works, or government projects will be highly regarded
• Current Class C driver’s licence and ability to pass a Criminal History Check
