Communications Technician

Alchemy Recruitment is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider who is seeking an experienced Communications Technician to join their team on a 12 month contract, in the Hunter Valley Region, NSW.

DUTIES REQUIRED IN THIS ROLE: 
As the Communications Technician, you will play a significant role in the safe and efficient daily operations on site.
  
You will be responsible for:

  • Develop, install, and maintain various Industrial Network, microwave, WIFI systems.
  • Perform the servicing, repair, and maintenance of Autonomous Fleet Management Networks, Systems maintenance, and support
  • Respond to breakdowns on site Fleet Management Systems, GPS and communication networks.
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems

EXPEREINCE AND COMPETENCIES 

  • Experience working in a similar role within the mining or telecommunications industry
  • Experience in LTE networks, DRS radio and/or fleet management systems (or any combination)
  • Exposure to Minestar, Breadcrumb Modular, Cambium, Motorola, Cisco (or any combination) (ideal)
  • Communication Systems across a range of equipment including draglines, excavators, haul trucks and light vehicles.
  • Knowledge of collision avoidance and fatigue monitoring systems

The job offers a 7/7 day shift-only roster. Suitable for local candidates who are living with driving proximity or willing to relocate for a career growth opportunity.
