Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with Local Government to secure an experienced Contracts Advisor for a casual-based contract opportunity in Brisbane, contracting until the end of January 2026. This position is immediately available and actively interviewing.
As a Contract Specialist within the Integrated Solutions team, you’ll manage multiple high-value, high-volume infrastructure contracts (valued up to $70 million per annum), supporting water infrastructure design and delivery. You’ll work closely with project and commercial stakeholders, advising on contract interpretation, vendor management, and financial control — all within a collaborative and future-focused organisation..
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial administration of major contracts: claims, accruals, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Guide and support contract governance forums with commercial insights and risk identification.
- Ensure contractor compliance with performance KPIs and resolve non-conformances promptly.
- Review and process variations, negotiate unjustified claims, and drive cost-avoidance savings.
- Build strong partnerships with internal clients and contractor commercial teams.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a Large corporate or Government organisation
- Relevant qualification A Degree in Procurement, Contracts, Business or other similar discipline will be essential or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
