Contracts Advisor

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with Local Government to secure an experienced Contracts Advisor for a casual-based contract opportunity in Brisbane, contracting until the end of June 2024. This position is immediately available and actively interviewing.
  
The Contracts Advisor will be responsible for providing support and advice on contracts for the maintenance and field services division. We are looking for someone to provide expert knowledge on contractual issues, spend and risk management, and lead business improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support by establishing and maintaining contracts
  • Manage contract administration, compliance, and reporting, including contract milestone setup, extending contracts, updating pricing catalogues, maintaining safety/insurance documentation, and entering variations.
  • Lead sourcing activities
  • Responsible for the setup and maintenance of the systems and processes to enable the purchasing and payment mechanisms for assigned contracts.
  • Develop and lead the delivery of clear Payment Claim processes
  • Develop, manage, and refine processes relating to work instructions, identifying business improvement opportunities.
  • Research and analyse information and data to inform and assist in decisions regarding purchasing and supplier management.
  • Monitor contract spending across key contracts to ensure compliance is maintained and that any potential budgetary issued are identified and addressed proactively.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure that KPI information is collected and reported accurately to ensure the performance of key delivery partners is measured. Queensland Urban Utilities

  
Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Large corporate or Government organisation
  • Relevant qualification A Degree in Procurement, Contracts, Business or other similar discipline will be essential or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
