Document Controller

Alchemy Recruitment is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider who is seeking an experienced Document Controller in  Weipa, QLD.

DUTIES REQUIRED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Define, manage and enforce compliance of system processes (Lifecycle – create, revisions, approval, publishing)
  • Manage the control and registration of information to and from sources, internal and external
  • Identify and engage EDM Support Team regarding system issues, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Liaise with EDMS Support Team on the upgrade works for ALIM and ProjectWise, weekly meetings
  • Ongoing support to users providing technical support, training and guidance on best practice
  • Create adhoc reports as required
  • Manage Weipa AIMS DMC email
  • Audit of systems to ensure compliance
  • Assist Draftsperson with minor drafting work
  • Mange Contractor Document Control Support role, prioritise tasks, allocate work and review work to ensure KPI’s are met

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • At least three years of proven experience in a Document Controller role or similar, with exposure to engineering
  • History working on a mine site or site based role (ideal) 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Skilled in maintaining company systems according to ISO standards.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of precision and meticulousness in tasks.
  • Competent in independently handling responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with project management systems and processes, with project environment experience highly favorable.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint beneficial but not a requirement.

In return, you can expect:
This is a 12-month contract role with a leading mining giant working in Weipa, with excellent remuneration. The job offers a Monday to Friday-roster with an optional fortnightly RDO. The position requires the successful candidate to live on the accommodation provided in a 5-star facility with all amenities and car provided. There is a strong chance for the role to go permanent, after 6 months with additional benefits and travel arrangements. *For the right candidate there is an option to WFH for the initial 6 months of the contract.
