Electrical Project Manager | Rockhampton | 18-Month Contract

An 18-month contract running a portfolio of electrical upgrade projects for a major energy client in Central Queensland. The previous Project Manager has just retired after 10 years in the role. Strong site culture, home every night.

✅ $106 to $123 per hour
✅ 36.25 hours a week, ideally Tuesday to Friday
✅ 18-month contract, likely extension
✅ Start January or February 2027

About the role

Manage around six electrical projects at once, each $200k to $2M, on critical operating plant
Scope, tender and manage turnkey design-and-install contractors through to completion
Plan and deliver most of the work inside major outage windows
Upcoming projects include switchboard protection upgrades, emergency diesel generators and fire system work
Report to the Electrical Superintendent and work alongside a small electrical, instrumentation and control team

About you

Electrical engineering degree, or an electrical licence backed by strong project management experience
Current or recent brownfield project delivery in power, mining, sugar, mineral processing or other heavy industry
Experience running multiple projects and contractors through shutdowns or outages
A self-starter who owns their projects and is comfortable driving them without a big team behind them
Based in Rockhampton or happy to relocate (no relocation assistance)
RPEQ is a bonus, not essential
