Alchemy Recruitment is currently partnered with a world leader in mining who is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor for a contract position based in the Mackay Coal Fields.
What to expect:
In this role is reporting to a superintendent in projects, you will draw on your proficient leadership and technical capabilities to plan, manage and execute assigned works onsite.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the project team demonstrating excellence in personal interaction, employee engagement, employee relations and teamwork.
- Establishes maintains and governs risk and quality management plans to assure effective management of the program’s electrical scope of work.
- Supervise electrical project related works for general mine infrastructure
- Establishes maintains and governs Electrical Management Plan.
- Prepare, coordinate and oversee implementation of contracts & procurement procedures.
- Collaborates with Project Manager to ensure the provision of appropriately skilled electrical resources, with the fit for purposes processes & tools, are available to achieve the project’s integrated scope, cost & schedule requirements.
- Ability to adapt to company work standards
The successful applicant must have the following:
- 5 + years experience as an electrical supervisor or PM specifically within a Brownfield mine site
- Hold current S1,2,3 and G2 competencies desired not mandatory.
- QLD Electrical Licence, mandatory.
- Experience in scopes, costs and schedules for multiple scopes of works on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience in developing construction sequencing and strategies on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience and demonstrated skill in identifying trends, investigating solutions and determining actions.
- Experience in the mining or resources sectors across
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Flexible attitude and sound work ethic
- Ability to achieve results and work within specified time frames
- Sound understanding of workplace OH&S

This is an ongoing contract position based in Mackay Coal Fields, offering an attractive rate, on a 5/2 (with some WFH flexibility) roster and is open to residential, DIDO or FIFO with camp accommodation and meals. Working on a Capital Project Team overseeing contractors for a leading mining giant.
