Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a major mining contractor on their hunt for an experienced Mining Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day production activities to ensure safe, efficient and high‑performing mining operations. This position plays a crucial role in leading teams, optimising output, and contributing to strong commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing production team
- Drive continuous improvement across mining operations
- Oversee all aspects of mine production and performance
- Collaborate closely with the client, Technical Services, and senior management to meet operational targets
- Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes
- Ensure compliance, safety and production standards are consistently met or exceeded
About You
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership position within coal mining (coal experience is essential)
- A proven history of delivering strong outcomes across mining projects
- Significant workforce leadership experience within contract mining environments
- Current Mining Supervisor competencies – G1, G2, G8 & G9
