Multiple Compliance and Ranger Roles | Logan | Immediate Start Contracts

Alchemy Recruitment are seeking Expression’s of Interests to support them in recruiting for multiple statutory compliance and enforcement roles based in Logan.

These are temporary contract opportunities and roles like these tend to move quickly, so we are inviting expressions of interest now ahead of formal applications opening.

Roles typically run for three months with possible extension.

We are currently recruiting for:
  • Local Law Officer
  • Animal Noise Response Officer
  • Park Ranger

About the roles

Local Law Officer
  • $39 to $43/hr + super
  • Full time, 38 hours per week
  • Investigate and enforce breaches of local laws and subordinate legislation
  • Issue notices and infringements, and follow matters through to resolution
  • Educate the community and manage customer expectations in sometimes difficult situations

Animal Noise Response Officer

  • $39/hr + super
  • Full time, 38 hours per week
  • Investigate animal barking, noise and nuisance complaints
  • Install and monitor audio recording devices and gather evidence
  • Provide advice to pet owners on resolving noise issues and achieving voluntary compliance

Park Ranger

  • $39 to $42.96/hr + super
  • Full time, 38 hours per week, working a 10 days on, 4 days off roster
  • Investigate breaches of local laws relating to park usage, including illegal dumping, parking and nuisances
  • Issue directions, compliance notices and infringements
  • Engage with the community, Police and other stakeholders on park safety matters

Preferred Requirements

  • Current C class driver’s licence (essential across all roles)
  • Experience conducting investigations and enforcing legislation or local laws
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations
  • Confidence maintaining accurate records and preparing evidentiary reports
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, background check and required vaccinations (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus, plus Q fever for some roles)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations or similar highly regarded, though not essential
  • Prior experience in a local government, regulatory or compliance environment is an advantage
