Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator – Commissioning & Completions
 
6‑Month Contract | Major Infrastructure Project | Brisbane, QLD
 
We are seeking an experienced Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to support commissioning and completions activities on a large multidisciplinary infrastructure project. This contract role will suit someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments involving electrical, mechanical, civil, and systems integration works.
 
About the Role
You will coordinate and administer the project’s Permit to Work system during commissioning, testing, energisation, and live-site activities. Working closely with engineering, construction, and safety teams, you will ensure safe, compliant, and well‑sequenced work execution across multiple work fronts.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the project PTW system, including permits for commissioning, energisation, and high‑risk activities
  • Coordinate isolations, de‑isolations, LOTO requirements, and safety controls
  • Maintain PTW registers, isolation logs, and reporting dashboards
  • Liaise with supervisors and engineers to manage access, SIMOPs, and safe work sequencing
  • Verify controls before permit issue and participate in PTW briefings
  • Support commissioning documentation and subsystem readiness
  • Identify and resolve conflicting activities and interface risks

About You
Essential:

  • Experience in PTW, commissioning, completions, or safety coordination
  • Strong understanding of isolations, LOTO, and energisation controls
  • Ability to interpret drawings, isolation plans, and commissioning documents
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Strong safety focus

Desirable:

  • Major infrastructure or complex operational environment experience
  • PTW/LOTO training or electrical/engineering background
