Procurement Specialist

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with Local Government to secure an experienced Procurement Advisor for a casual-based contract opportunity in Brisbane, contracting until the end of June 2024. This position is immediately available and actively interviewing.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading, and developing the procurement portfolio plans and will autonomously lead end-to-end procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of strategic partnering relationships to drive best practice outcomes by using a strategic advisory approach to achieve business outcomes.
  • Manage a portfolio of category plans in line with the organisations business strategy to deliver synergies, cost savings and risk-reduction, and/or optimisation of the portfolio to delivery the best business outcomes.
  • Develop and handover tailored contract management and assurance plans for all contracts within the assigned portfolio(s). Coordinate and conduct assurance activities on designated contracts.
  • Design and lead tailored end-to-end sourcing solutions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Large corporate or Government organisation
  • Relevant qualification A Degree in Procurement, Business or other similar disciplines will be essential or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
