Project Controller

Alchemy Recruitment is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider who is seeking an experienced Project control Engineer in the Northern Territory.

Overview: Join a Capital Projects Team and proactively and accurately provide scheduling, reporting, and analysing project performance. This role is crucial for ensuring project success and aligning with the teams business plan.
  
DUTIES REQUIRED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Monitor and manage the progress of project funding requests (AFE and CER)
  • Act as a liaison between Business Analysts and Projects Team for accurate project reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and report project cost and schedule control information to assess overall project status and identify potential challenges
  • Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives
  • Manage project cost and schedule throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring information is current and accurate
  • Develop, implement, and maintain dashboards to support decision-making and cost predictability (ServiceNOW)
  • Effectively manage concurrent priorities and deliver results in situations with significant ambiguity
  • Proactively address challenges with a flexible and collaborative approach
  • Maintain project registers and logs
  • Record hours worked (timesheet)

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Basic understanding of minerals processing infrastructure (ideal) or similar heavy industry
  • Experience in Project Controls and Systems
  • Project Management qualification (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Basic understanding of contract and construction management
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP4HANA, and COUPA
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Proficiency in ServiceNOW (ideal)

In return, you can expect:
This is an ongoing contract with a leading mining giant, based in the Northern Territory, on a generous hourly rate. Working on an attractive 4:3 roster or 5:2 roster with a WFH day, with FIFO from Darwin accommodation and meals provided. This position reports to a Project Superintendent and will join in with a close knit team with excellent camp and office facilities.
