About the opportunity:
We are looking for senior professionals to lead complex rail projects during the planning and delivery phases. These roles offer the chance to manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical design and project delivery, and work on high-profile rail infrastructure projects in Queensland.
Project Manager Role:
- Lead the planning, procurement, and delivery of major rail projects from inception through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee technical, commercial, and contractual aspects.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate project requirements and approvals.
- Develop project plans, risk registers, financial forecasts, and governance documentation.
Engineering Manager Role:
- Provide technical leadership across all engineering disciplines on rail and station projects.
- Lead design development, integration, and review for civil, structural, architectural, track, rail systems, and operational interfaces.
- Implement technical assurance, safety-in-design, and risk management practices.
- Manage stakeholder and operational interfaces, including rail operators and third-party providers.
- Support constructability, commissioning, handover, and provide technical input to procurement and contract management.

What we’re looking for:
- 10-15 years’ experience in rail or major infrastructure project delivery, including client-side or government roles.
- Proven track record managing brownfield rail projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving.
- 10+ years’ experience leading design delivery across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Engineering degree (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems) with Chartered/RPEQ status.
- Experience in design integration, technical assurance, safety-in-design, and interface management.
- Strong understanding of rail standards, regulatory requirements, and operational environments.
