Project Supervisor – Mechanical or Electrical
Fixed & Mobile Plant | Mining | 7/7, 8/6, or 4/3 roster | Various sites

Alchemy Recruitment is partnered with a leading mining owner to engage multiple Project Supervisors across mechanical and electrical disciplines. Each role is discipline-specific (Mechanical or Electrical) and requires experience across fixed plant and/or mobile plant environments.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of daily project activities in an operating mine environment. The role provides strong field leadership, with accountability for Week 0 works, planning, and maintaining safety, quality, schedule and cost discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical or electrical project works across fixed and/or mobile plant
  • Lead daily prestarts and support weekly planning (Weeks 0–4)
  • Own urgent and unplanned Week 0 activities
  • Apply strong risk-averse decision making and visible safety leadership
  • Act as on-site escalation point for issues and incidents
  • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with site standards
  • Close out works and documentation including ITPs
  • Monitor progress, risks and costs and escalate issues as required

Requirements

  • Experience as a Project Supervisor or Senior Supervisor or PM in mining or heavy industry
  • Mechanical or Electrical infrastructure background
  • Exposure to fixed plant and/or mobile plant environments (both is ideal)
  • Strong contractor management and brownfield execution experience
  • Solid understanding of safety systems and risk management
  • Lifting and cranage experience desirable

Role Details

This is an ongoing contract opportunity with a leading mining owner, based in Moranbah, QLD. The role offers FIFO (from Brisbane), DIDO or residential options depending on location, with competitive contract rates and a strong pipeline of work providing continuity and stability. There are various roster available.
