Reliability Engineer – Mobile Equipment
A Reliability Engineer is required to support mobile equipment performance at a large-scale coal operation in the Basin Basin region, QLD. This is a site-based role focused on improving asset reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance across a major mobile fleet.

- Ongoing Contract
- FIFO or DIDO options available, Bowen Basin QLD
- 9-day fortnight (full-time roster)
- Site based Monday – Thursday (some WFH flexibility)
- Start available ASAP (ideally within the next 4 weeks
Fleet exposure
- Ultra-class haul trucks (e.g. 793F class)
- Large hydraulic excavators (5600 / 3600 class)
- Large loaders (WA1200 class and similar)
Role scope
- Analyse equipment performance, failure modes, and reliability trends
- Lead RCA investigations and defect elimination initiatives
- Develop and refine maintenance strategies and component life plans
- Partner with maintenance, planning, and operations teams
- Drive continuous improvement across mobile asset performance
About you
- Degree-qualified Reliability / Mechanical Engineer (or similar)
- Proven experience in mobile equipment reliability within mining
- Strong RCA, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Practical, site-focused, improvement-driven approach
