Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a major mining operator seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support reliability and performance improvement initiatives across an ultra-class mobile mining fleet.
This role will focus on haul truck reliability, defect elimination, maintenance optimisation, and improving equipment performance across a large-scale mining operation.
DUTIES:
- Support reliability improvement strategies across an ultra-class haul truck fleet
- Analyse equipment performance, downtime trends, and failure data
- Drive defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with maintenance, planning, and operational teams onsite
- Support root cause analysis investigations and reliability reviews
- Identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities across fleet assets
- Assist with maintenance strategy optimisation and asset health initiatives
- Monitor KPI performance, equipment availability, and reliability metrics
- Support shutdown planning and execution activities where required
- Engage with OEMs, contractors, and site stakeholders
EXPERIENCE:
- Reliability Engineering experience within mining or heavy industry environments
- Experience supporting mobile mining equipment fleets
- Exposure to ultra-class haul trucks highly regarded
- Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
- Experience with RCA, defect elimination, and continuous improvement processes
- Ability to interpret equipment performance and maintenance data
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
- Previous coal mining experience advantageous
- Engineering degree or relevant technical background preferred
