About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Technical Writer to join a high-performing maintenance and reliability team. This role will see you developing and refining Standardised Work (SW) practices, ensuring work instructions are safe, practical, and easy to use across site operations.
Role Overview:
This role is focused on taking existing content, updating and digitalising it, spending time with maintenance crews to gather data, and ensuring information is captured clearly and consistently. It’s not an engineering role, no engineering degree or technical discipline background is required – but you will play a key part in making work instructions practical, accessible, and aligned with safety and efficiency goals.
What You’ll Do
- Create, update and digitalise Standardised Work documentation.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure clarity and consistency and enter data
- Ensure work instructions are clear, practical, and consistent.
- Deliver performance reporting and present outcomes in reviews.
- Engage with teams to promote and embed SW practices.
- Support safety leadership and hazard reporting activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in technical writing, documentation, or similar, especially digitalisation of reliability or maintenance processes
- Strong attention to detail and data entry/document control skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with maintenance teams.
- Organised and able to manage multiple updates and reporting deadlines.
- Safety-focused mindset with a willingness to work closely with crews.
