About the role
We are currently a seeking Senior Technical Officer – Welding Coordinator. This role is for a permanent position at a Power Station based in the South Burnett region. 

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, as a Welding Coordinator you can anticipate some of your day-to-day responsibilities to include:

  • Perform supervision and inspections and provide specialist technical advice. 
  • Development and maintenance of welding systems and processes.
  • Coordination of weld heat treatment and weld testing. 
  • Perform inspections of high-pressure equipment.
  • Ensuring that all plant changes are performed within compliance to the engineering change management process. 
  • Ensure that plant operates safely under all circumstances. 

What are we looking for?

  • 10 years of experience in maintenance or asset management.
  • Trade qualifications or equivalent in a mechanical discipline. 
  • AS1796 Certificate 10 Welding Certificate.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in the management of minor and major engineering projects.
  • Proven ability using computing systems (Work, Excel, Ellipse, Projectwise).
