About the role
We are currently a seeking Senior Technical Officer – Welding Coordinator. This role is for a permanent position at a Power Station based in the South Burnett region.
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, as a Welding Coordinator you can anticipate some of your day-to-day responsibilities to include:
- Perform supervision and inspections and provide specialist technical advice.
- Development and maintenance of welding systems and processes.
- Coordination of weld heat treatment and weld testing.
- Perform inspections of high-pressure equipment.
- Ensuring that all plant changes are performed within compliance to the engineering change management process.
- Ensure that plant operates safely under all circumstances.
What are we looking for?
- 10 years of experience in maintenance or asset management.
- Trade qualifications or equivalent in a mechanical discipline.
- AS1796 Certificate 10 Welding Certificate.
- Expert knowledge and experience in operations and maintenance.
- Experience in the management of minor and major engineering projects.
- Proven ability using computing systems (Work, Excel, Ellipse, Projectwise).
